You are here: Welcome Sixth Form Academic

In the Sixth Form there are so many opportunities: A broad range of A Level subjects as well as the British Horse Society Assistant Instructor Award, EAL qualifications, the Leith's Basic Certificate in Food and Wine and the ECDL computer qualification. But it is not all work. Sixth Formers take part in weekly sports and the extensive activities programme which includes Critical Thinking, debating and training for the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award.

Sixth Form pupils study 3-5 subjects of their choice. Alongside tuition pupils also learn how to study and research for themselves, just as they will at university. Sixth Formers have designated private study areas in the school, including the study area with the Sixth Form Centre. Teachers will provide as much support as they need both inside and outside timetabled study periods.

A wide range of subjects is available, which may vary year on year subject to demand but currently includes:

Art, Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, English Literature, French, Geography, History, ICT, Maths, Further Mathematics, Music, Photography, Physics, Physical Education, Psychology, Religious Studies, Spanish and Theatre Studies
